About Us

About The Podcast
Created and hosted by Michelle Pense, The Crime Shack examines true crime cases through a clear, fact-based lens. These are not fictional accounts - they are events that happened to real people, where lives were lost and families forever changed. Each episode unpacks the details, explores the who’s who, considers motives and behavior, and follows the pursuit of justice.

What began as Michelle’s passion project has grown into a podcast with a loyal, engaged audience. Supported by a large social following, listeners return for the straightforward storytelling, thoughtful perspective, and commitment to letting the facts speak for themselves.
About The Host
Michelle Pense is a storyteller at heart - whether she’s unraveling the details of a chilling case on The Crime Shack or exploring a quiet mountain trail halfway across the country.
An emerging voice in true crime, Michelle brings clarity and compassion to every story she tells. She’s been featured on Court TV and NewsNation for her sharp, fact-based perspective and has built a thriving online community that tunes in by the thousands for her live broadcasts and in-depth episodes.
Beyond the mic, Michelle is a writer, traveler, and outdoor enthusiast who finds inspiration in new places, unfamiliar paths, and unexpected conversations. She believes that every story - whether criminal, personal, or somewhere in between - deserves to be told with honesty and heart.
