The house where the murders were committed has since been demolished. This case is a tragic example of how jealousy and greed can ruin an entire family. I came across this case by seeing some of the recorded trial online and it really resonated with me, mainly because of the innocuous location (rural Iowa) as well as the utter disbelief how some people go to extreme and often violent lengths to protect what they believe is rightfully theirs.
